Dedham put the game away in the first quarter as Amelia Turner poured in 10 of her game high 22 points.  Callie chipped in with 6 of her 12 points as the Demons rolled to a 22-5 lead.  The second quarter was more tough Dedham defense leading to a 41-9 score at half-time. Seventh grader Autumn Wardwell had her best game of the season playing stout defense and grabbing 3 rebounds to go along with her 2 steals.  Floor general Mallorie Haulk orchestrated the offense with a season high 8 assists selflessly creating many scoring opportunities for her teammates.   Fellow seventh grader Abby Turner had a team high 4 rebounds and 2 steals along with a putback basket for 2 points.  Clara Polakowski fought off early foul trouble and added 9 points.  

With the huge halftime lead the second half was all about playing time for Dedham’s future stars.  Ella Madden was a terror on defense, coming  away with 4 steals and ran the offense playing point guard.  Natalie O’Neil scored 4 points and hauled down two rebounds.  Phoebe Robinson played solid defense and had several good scoring opportunities.  Violet Winston Harding and Belle Goupee moved the ball well on offense while grabbing several rebounds and taking several shots.  

Thanks goes to all the staff, parents and students who came to support the team and to Coach Spaulding and the Dedham Cheerleaders.  Thanks also to Nate Cook for taking video so those at home could watch the game.

With the win the Dedham Girls finished the season with a 17-1 record and remained undefeated in league play. Congratulations Girls!
